Our story
Built on a Simple Idea: IT Should Just Work
Northbridge IT was founded in 2009 by David Thornton after more than a decade in enterprise technology. He kept seeing the same story: small businesses paying enterprise prices for fragmented, unreliable IT — or getting nothing at all and muddling through.
So we built a different kind of IT company. One that combines the tools, processes and security standards of a big corporate IT department with the warmth, flexibility and plain-English communication of a local team that actually knows you.
Today, our engineers support more than 500 businesses across the UK — from two-person accountancy practices to 200-strong construction groups. The technology has changed a lot since 2009. Our promise hasn't.
